Boodles is delighted to unveil its latest collection, Fifth Avenue. These pieces have been designed to celebrate the brand’s 25 year relationship with the iconic Ashoka diamond and the William Goldberg family.

Drawing inspiration from the birthplace of the Ashoka diamond, Fifth Avenue reflects Manhattan's iconic architecture with modern, structural pieces in an Art Deco style. Each Ashoka diamond is cut and polished by Goldberg on the corner of William Goldberg Way and Fifth Avenue, making 'Fifth Avenue' a fitting name for this New York inspired collection.

Detail is crucial to the collection. Much in the same way as buildings in a city are seen from a variety of different angles, revealing secret and hidden intricacies; Fifth Avenue includes delicate detailing at the back of the jewellery pieces. For example, a subtle smattering of diamonds surrounds the back of the main diamond or gemstone that takes centre stage at the front of the piece. Or a latticework of enamel is continued on the reverse of a pendant or ring. As with all Boodles pieces, perfection is key, and just because the reverse of a piece isn’t always seen, that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be beautiful.

Boodles pink diamonds are included throughout, adding a touch of femininity to these otherwise structured pieces. And the stone that takes centre stage, of course, is the Ashoka diamond. An integral part of Boodles brand DNA. Alongside the collection’s core Ashoka and pink diamond pieces, a selection of one-off coloured jewellery pieces are available featuring rubies, sapphires and orange diamonds.

"As I designed the Fifth Avenue collection, I was particularly inspired by the Art Deco illustrations of New York’s iconic buildings. The echoes of the Empire State Building’s grandeur can be seen throughout the pieces, with intricate detailing that reflects the architectural beauty from every angle."

Rebecca Hawkins, Boodles Director of Design
It has been 25 years since Boodles began working with the Goldberg family, the founders and creators of the Ashoka diamond. Born, bred, cut, and polished in New York, Boodles is proud to be the only European jeweller to use these cherished diamonds.

The Ashoka diamond is coveted for its rarity and incomparable sparkle, featuring 62 facets—more than the 58 facets of an emerald cut. This unique characteristic provides the vivacity of a round brilliant cut with the modern appeal of an emerald cut, making the Ashoka diamond a true crowd-pleaser.

Alongside the collection’s core Ashoka and pink diamond pieces, a selection of one-off coloured jewellery pieces are available. Encompassing the same design features but using a variety of carefully curated coloured diamonds and stones, these unique pieces offer a segue to the collection. Orange and yellow diamonds, blue and pink sapphires, as well as emeralds bring a seamless blend of colour to the collection.
