Making a difference

Over the years we have worked with a wide range of charities from across the globe. However, there are a select few, carefully chosen organisations that we have elected to work with more closely than others. Our Directors are personally involved with these charities on a number of different levels, from spearheading fundraising activations, to acting as trustees, and even President. These are causes extremely close to our hearts and we pride ourselves on the wonderful work these charities are doing for those from less privileged and more challenging backgrounds.

As a brand we feel it is our duty of care to give back to those most in need. However, we like to think our partnerships go above and beyond the simple act of donating money. Whether it be visiting far-flung, disadvantaged or war-torn communities and witnessing first-hand the areas our money is needed most, or acting in an advisory capacity in order to get the most out of fundraising activations- we love to get involved.

CAUSES THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO US
Important Causes
These are some of the sectors that we aim to target through the work we do with our charity partners.
Women & children
At Boodles we believe children can flourish with the right foundations and have chosen to work with charities that support children, women and creating the building blocks of life.
Community
A prospering and effective community is one of the most vital support networks available in today’s modern world. We focus a lot of our work on giving back to communities, particularly those that have played a pivotal role in our own journey.
Arts
The Arts are an all-important means of education; providing us with an understanding of our own history and culture, as well as those of others. Through our partnership with charities such as the Royal Ballet we are supporting this vital sector of society.
Conservation
We have chosen to work with a number of different charities that support the careful maintenance of our natural resources, preserving our planet for generations to come.
Health
Many of our charity partners focus on the mental and physical wellbeing of those that are often some of the most vulnerable in society.
Our charity partners
Below are our key charity partners, most of whom we have worked with for many years and have a remarkably close relationship with.
Just a Drop has been chosen as the Boodles ‘Charity of the Year’ due to the fantastic work they do around the world in bringing safe and sustainable water solutions to some of the most vulnerable communities. Just a Drop works at grassroot levels and their sustainable projects provide support to communities through varying different means; such as through the construction of hand-dug and drilled wells, pipelines, sand dams, rainwater harvesting systems and sanitation programmes.

Hope and Homes for Children works across Eastern Europe, South and Eastern Africa and South Asia with the main aim of stopping the institutionalisation of children. The charity’s goal is to make orphanages history and unite children trapped in such institutions with family members who can care for them. During the last Boodles Boxing Ball we raised an astounding £1.75 million for this charity, and we continue to work with them closely.

Our Chairman, Michael Wainwright, is one of the charity’s trustees and lends his commercial expertise to the Rainbow Trust, assisting in the charity’s expansion and raising of all important funds.

We are proud to support the Royal Opera House’s Create & Learn National Schools Programme. This initiative reaches over 30,000 children annually, breaking down barriers to opera and ballet through music, dance, and design education in primary schools across the UK. Digital workshops streamed from the Royal Opera House bring the arts directly into classrooms. It also offers in-person workshops and opportunities for children to share and celebrate their creative achievements.

The founder, James Shone, visits hundreds of schools and businesses every year to speak to educators, parents, pupils and employees on his quest to inspire conviction and happiness in young adults.
