Boodles 'Florentine Dolce Vita' Ring Collection:
A Vibrant Tribute to Italian Elegance and Charm
January 2024
Boodles is delighted to introduce a new collection of colourful rings from the Florentine collection, aptly named 'Florentine Dolce Vita.' Inspired by the zest and glamour of the iconic Dolce Vita era in Italy, the extraordinary rings exude vibrancy, boldness, and a playful celebration of Italian life.
The original Florentine collection was born when Boodles Head of Design, Rebecca Hawkins, saw Leonardo da Vinci’s world-famous notebooks in a museum in Florence, and found herself sketching ideas in a book of her own. Fascinated by the pulleys and levers in his scientific diagrams, she created the collection, inspired by the fabulous Florentine.
"Inspired by the Italian ‘sweet life’ in every sense, the latest additions to Boodles Florentine collection reflect the fun, laidback and colourful nature of the Dolce Vita lifestyle."
As a subcollection of this much-loved collection, ‘Florentine Dolce Vita’ is one of the brightest and boldest of Boodles collections to date. The 1960s in Italy was a time of great optimism and revolutionary change, personified by the iconic Dolce Vita lifestyle. Drawing inspiration from the stunning landscapes, artistic heritage, and enchanting atmosphere of Italy during the Dolce Vita period, Boodles designers sought to capture the essence of la dolce vita, a world of art, culture, and romance. These statement rings reflect the joyful indulgence of the time, offering wearers a taste of the colourful and carefree Italian dolce vita lifestyle.
At the heart of this exciting new collection is a fusion of classic elegance and contemporary, colourful design. Each ring is meticulously handcrafted with a combination of bright stones set amongst coloured enamel (a feature that is making a regular appearance in recent Boodles designs!), dazzling diamonds, and Boodles trademark expert artistry. The result is a collection that combines the timeless sophistication of the Florentine collection, alongside a modern burst of colour, epitomising the carefree spirit and colourful exuberance of the iconic Dolce Vita era.
